How should professors help students who are falling back?

In a college classroom, students can be divided into three categories based on their academic performance. The first category is of the exceptional students who score A grades. The second category is that of average students and the third one is that of below average students.

The average students are those who do just fine in their academics, and their performance is still acceptable according to college standards. However, the students who are below average are those who need serious counseling and help with their academics. Such students are always at the risk of facing a relegation due to their unacceptable performance. Due to their poor concepts, such students also require special help in tasks such as research paper write. So professors in the college should make sure to provide such students all the counseling that they might need. Moreover, professors should try to arrange helpful sources for such students that can help them both academically and psychologically. A lot of students fall behind because of their psychological issues.

Referring them to psychological counselors in the college support center is also quite helpful. These are a couple of ways through which professors can initiate help for such students. This way, a lot of students end up improving themselves.
